Canon Abilities:
⚡ Nen

Nen is the ability to manipulate one's own life energy or aura and grants the user paranormal abilities. There are many different types of Nen that one can master and Killua has mastered the four basic techniques of Ten, Zetsu, Ren, and Hatsu - and at least five of the advanced techniques Gyo, Shu, Ko, Ken, Ryu.

Beyond that, Killua has a natural affinity for being a Transmuter, which allows him to change the properties of his aura to mimic electricity. He has honed abilities in two other affinities, Enhancement and Conjuration. Enhancer allows him to strengthen and increase the natural abilities found within himself such as his strength and speed. While Conjurer allows him to create an item out of his aura. Since he was born with the Transmuter affinity, he will never be able to master any of the other affinities completely.

Killua can wield his twin yo-yos in combination with his Transmuter abilities and turn them into electric weapons. This may not cause damage, but does hurt and stuns opponents. He must "charge" himself after using too much of his electrical aura, mostly by the means of experiencing a shock himself from a taser or outlet. It does run out quickly as he isn't always aware of how much power he's outputing. The electrical aura can be used to power machines or burn/burn out common items and machines.

⚡ Lightning Palm

The most basic of attacks that allows him to simply shock people with a touch of his hands. It will hurt and stun opponents for a few moments.

⚡ Thunderbolt

A bolt of lightning that he can aim at opponents that can leave them paralyzed for a bit and causes pain, leaving them open to another attack.

⚡ Godspeed

The peak of Killua's Nen abilities, which requires him to go through the stages below. It pushes him past the limits of his physical potential to make him faster, stronger, and more agile. He can decide how much voltage someone touching him will feel, such as a friend or ally only receiving the smallest of shocks or an enemy the highest voltage.

⚡ Whirlwind

This puts him in a state where he automatically reacts to outside stimuli. He sends electrical signals to his muscles to react and act without relying on "orders" going through his brain and slow nervous system. It can be programmed and reprogrammed to whatever Killua is facing - whether it be an enemy or friend, which means it has both offensive and defensive abilities. It makes him move faster than a brain or body can process information in most cases.

⚡ Speed of Lightning

This is the stage of Godspeed that allows him to remain in control of himself fully, so it's not used as much in battle. Rather it's used to cover long distances in a short amount of time. Due to the fact that speed is key here, Killua is more affected by the terrain which can slow him down. If on uneven or unfavorable terrain, his estimated speed is about 240km/h (about 149.1 mph), meaning he could reach even faster speeds on a road or flat terrain. Should he be carrying someone while in this state, they will experience small electric shocks so long as they are in physical contact with him.

Role: Myth
Role Qualities/Attributes: He will have black horns, a black tail, and fangs that make him look like a little devil. As Killua already has a lot of the attributes already such as detecting threats, quick reflexes, increased speed, and immunity to poison these will simply be enhanced even more.
Role Reasoning: Killua has always lived in the shadows, at first following in the family business of assassination. Even when he finally decided he didn't want to kill anymore, there was always a cold edge to him that was willing to break this decision for the people he wanted to protect. It was purely selfish motivations that drove him to protect the friendship he'd found and he was willing to lie or step back into the shadows if that's what it took. Up until recently, Killua would have fallen into Familiar territory as he followed after Gon and did his utmost to support him and his crazy ideas. However, he's stepped out of Gon's wake after finding something he wanted to protect more. He does have potential to rise to Legend, but he's not quite there yet.

❥ What is the most important and defining relationship(s) in your character's life and why?

The most important relationship he's had has been the friendship with Gon. When he first started out, Killua only knew what he didn't want and wasn't allowed to have friends. So he latched on after realizing that Gon was clever and resilient, having fun with someone his age for the first time in a very long time. When Killua gave up and returned home, it was Gon's determination that shined through and reached him. Together they traveled and learned Nen, fought extremely powerful foes, saved who they could, played together, and built an extremely strong bond of trust.

It was for Gon's sake that Killua was able to overcome the barriers put in place by his eldest brother - literally removing the needle in his head that was used to manipulate his fight or flight instincts. While they don't always agree and have had their struggles, the pinnacle was during the Chimera Ant arc. The distance between them seem to widen a bit as Gon fell into despair over being unable to save another friend and pushed past the limits of his Nen ability without caring about his own life. This left Gon's body in a withered state and close to death.

Killua hated this and swore that he'd save Gon and make him apologize to him. Saving Gon is what pushed him to return home and help his sister Alluka who was locked away inside the Zoldyck mansion. Due to the influence Illumi had over him, Killua had never challenged or really questioned why Alluka was so tightly kept on a leash - not until his relationship with Gon pushed him to break free. Finally, after two years of searching, he finally had something he wanted - rather than something he simply didn't want and so he parted ways with his best friend.

❥ What is your character's moral code? Do they have one? Why or why not?

Killua lives in shades of gray when it comes to having a moral code. He has wanted to quit being an assassin who kills just for the money for years now, and does his best to not kill anymore. For the most part, he's tried to walk in Gon's footsteps - forgiving what can be forgiven and letting people live instead of killing them. Trying to reach them with words and maybe knock some sense into them with a little violence. He's not afraid to pick a fight or lie if it's what appears to be the best calculated outcome.

When it comes right down to it, though, Killua's moral code is to protect the people he cares about no matter the cost. That means killing when he needs to and being benevolent where he can. He can be downright cruel to even his own family if necessary, such as ordering Nanika to kill their mother if they aren't let go within a certain time limit. It was a calculated risk he took that his father would let them go, but the threat was still very real. He doesn't always get it right, such as when he ordered Nanika to never appear again even though she is just as much his sister as Alluka is, but he does what he can to make it right in his own heart and with those he cares about.

❥ What does your character feel like they struggle with still? Where could they improve? This could be physically, mentally, emotionally, or otherwise.

Expressing his emotions when things are tough. Killua is great at putting many of his emotions on display such as his happiness, irritation, or when he's extremely pissed off. Yet he still struggles when situations are at their roughest. He isn't one to cry very often or say how he feels when he's in emotional pain or even the height of appreciation. Killua doesn't want to place that "burden" on others, especially not when they're also going through something as equally hard. Perhaps if he had spoken up, the situation with Gon against the Chimera Ants wouldn't have gotten so bad. Yet he held back when he should have spoken up about his fears and worries, when he felt the widening gap between the two of them growing.

He's also bad at expressing his gratitude for all that has been given to him, especially to Gon. While Gon has no problem just outright saying sappy things like being glad to have met him or that they'll always be friends in his simple but completely sincere manner, he usually fails to return the sentiment. Often choosing to hide his thoughts and feelings instead.

❥ Is your character capable of forgiveness or will they hold a grudge until they die? Would anything ever make them change their mind?

Killua very much holds a grudge against others. Most of them time this is solved by returning what was given to him or the people he cares about. Early on, he didn't hesitate to electrocute an opponent who had threatened the safety of a friend to manipulate Gon into fighting and hurt him. He's not above holding onto small grudges to be paid back later in some way - even friendly ones that happen between him and his friends. Even serious ones, like Gon risking his life are ones he can hold on to, intent on making the other apologize and then later lightly teasing him about it. However, most of the time, once these grudges are settled, Killua doesn't typically hold on to them and often forgives even if he'll never forget them.

There are grudges, however, that he would stubbornly hang on to. These are the ones where someone has significantly hurt someone he cares about. Killua is fully prepared to repay these ones back with death - which to him is the same as not giving his forgiveness. He has threatened his own family on behalf of Alluka and Nanika, though somewhere deep down, he still cares for them enough not to order Nanika to kill Illumi when his brother was ready to kill his sister.

❥ If your character could change one thing about their past, what would it be and why? Or why not?

If he could, Killua would change a lot about his past. However, resisting Illumi's manipulation sooner probably would be the main thing. It would have changed how he handled other situations such as not a better brother to Alluka and Nanika sooner or to stop running away when faced with a tough situation to keep up with Gon better. Removing that needle sooner could have made a world of difference when he was needed most.

At the same time, he also realistically knows that he might not have the motivation to change that at a younger age - so he doesn't want to change anything about his past. It was because of Gon that Killua really wanted to make a change in his life, because they met and he wanted to be a better person who stood his ground to protect those that matter most to him. He knows that he can't change the past and if he did, then he might not even have the friendship that he does with Gon.
